Helping Masine Towards its Self-relevancy

A tripartite agreement on "Self-help Eco-village Development" was signed between the Centre for Self-help Development (CSD), the Mahila Sahayogi Bachat Tatha Rin Sahakari Sanstha Ltd. (MSBTRSS) and the Centre for Rural Technology/Nepal (CRT/N) on October 28, 2021 at CSD Building. The initial phase of the project has already started off by implementing two activities namely Introductory Goat Rearing Training and Grass Cultivation Field Visit to Farmers; other activities are ongoing at the moment. In parallel to the aligned thinking of the three institutions this project has been commenced with common goal of developing Masine village of Chandragiri Municipality by adopting the self-sufficiency modality. The time line of the project is of 2 years.

Mr. Bechan Giri, the Executive Chief of CSD expressed "This is a great initiation made by the three reputed institutions towards developing Masine with the self-help concept. This project is just a stepping stone towards the theme of eco-village; we have planned several projects for the upcoming days". Mr. Purushottam Shrestha, Executive Director of CRT/N shared "He is personally looking after this project and will provide everything within his technical expertise for the succession of the project". Similarly, Ms. Nirmala Acharya, the Chairman of MSBTRSS postulated "This is a dream project of the three institutions so we need to perform our best in order to successfully execute this project. We need to implement each and every activity with sheer dedication and help the people of Masine so that they can help themselves out".

Officials present during the signing of memorandum of understanding were Ms. Nanishova Maharjan, Chief Executive Officer, from MSBTRSS Ltd., Mr. Niraj Shrestha, Deputy Director from CRT/N and Mr. Satish Shrestha, Director and Mr. Dipendra Joshi, Officer from CSD.
