Suryodaya Womi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited is registered with the office of the Company Registrar under the Companies Act 2063. Nepal Rastra Bank has licensed Suryodaya Womi as a Micro Financial institution (Class "D") under the Banks and Financial Institutions Act 2073. The Suryodaya Womi has started its microfinancing services on the 25th of Falgun, 2068 BS (International Women’s Day-March 8, 2012) from its Central Office at Khanikhola Dhading. Suryodaya Womi can expand its service throughout the country. The micro financial businesses Suryodaya Womi carries out are being governed under Bank and Financial Institutions Act 2073.
The central office of Suryodaya Womi is located at Banepa Municipality-13, Sanga, Kavre. Suryodaya Womi would follow the characteristics of the “Grameen” model but would slightly vary from the traditional ones. However, the institution will always follow the regulatory norms of NRB. Becoming more practical and competitive it would follow always profitable and viable models for the sustainability of the institution`
